How to make Succulent and Juicy Homemade Corn Dogs

1) In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, baking powder, flour, sugar and salt.

2) Also add buttermilk, honey, egg and two tablespoons of vegetable oil to the bowl and whisk until wet and dry ingredients are combined. Leave combination for 10 minutes.

3) While batter rests, heat the remaining vegetable oil in a wide deep skillet up to 350°F.

4) Grab the hotdogs and put the wooden sticks inside them, while leaving enough stick at the bottom of the sticks while also keeping the hot dog in place.

5) Give the batter a stir. If the batter is too thick, add a few tablespoons of buttermilk and stir, between 2-4 tablespoons.

6) Pour corn dog batter into a tall drinking glass, but don't fill it to the brim of the glass. Dip the hot dog with the stick attached into the batter and gently twist it to coat the hot dog up to the stick. Gently pull hot dog out of the batter, shaking off any excess.

7) Gently drop the coated hot dog into the oil. Cook the hot dog for a few minutes or until it turns golden brown. When fully cooked, place a towel to soak away any excess oil. For faster progress, do it in batches.

8) Serve corn dogs hot with condiments!

And there you have it! Your very own Succulent and Juicy Homemade Corn Dogs! Make sure you share this treat with friends and family!
